Moore Place is an 85 unit housing project envisioned by many Charlotteans over several years to provide supportive housing for the homeless in the Charlotte area. In 2010, after a successful fundraising effort, The Urban Ministry Center was able to make this vision a reality with the help of the Charlotte Housing Authority, the Housing Trust Fund, numerous local churches, organizations and private donors. Axiom Architecture provided services to help complete the vision architecturally. Moore Place offers housing and supportive services to each tenant to help them on the road to a new life.

The building is 3-story wood frame construction with surface parking. In addition to the 85 living units, the building houses staff offices and conference rooms as well as a number of common area spaces for the residents such as the activities room, art room, library, computer room and outdoor pavilion.
