FCR Office Upfit

Charlotte, NC

This office interior upfit was designed for a client that exchanged their suburban offices for an early 20th century warehouse structure at the edge of uptown Charlotte.  The company maintains curbside facilities along the East Coast that collect process and sell plastic, glass, paper, and aluminum products.

The program was to provide corporate office facilities within this 10,000-square foot warehouse in a way that would challenge preconceived notions of “office space”. The firm asked for a dynamic workplace that could serve as a tool for speaking to their clients. The result is a place that heightens the awareness of the design potential latent in four recycled materials: aluminum, glass, newspaper, and plastic.
