Moore Place is an 85 unit housing project envisioned by many Charlotteans over several years who continue to recognize the enormous need for housing for the homeless in this area. The Urban Ministry Center, Charlotte Housing Authority, along with many other donors, churches and organizations realized this vision in 2010. Along with various HUD approvals and fund raising goals met, construction was cleared to begin in early 2011. Axiom Architecture provided services to help complete the vision architecturally. Moore Place will offer housing and supportive services to each tenant to help them on the road to a new life.

The building is 3-story wood frame construction with surface parking. Construction is expected to be completed by the fall of 2011.
