Altera East Mint Apartments

Altera is an attainable housing program that Wood Partners developed to provide a more affordable offering in several markets along the east coast.  Axiom Architecture partnered with Wood Partners starting in 2023 to design a prototype set of buildings and a standalone clubhouse that could be reproduced in various locations.

There are multiple building types ranging from 3-story walk-up, varied split buildings, carriage buildings and 4-story buildings with central corridors and elevator service.  All buildings are Type VA wood-framed construction.

East Mint Apartments completed construction in early 2026.  It is located on the edge of Mint Hill, NC just minutes from the heart of Charlotte.  There are 305 units supported by a large clubhouse and pool with many modern amenity feature offerings.
