10 Tryon is picking up steam again with some big changes

The project, as previously reported, will consist of two phases of office, retail and a Publix. The first phase will consist of nearly 90,000 square feet of of Class A office space.

What I love about it is that it stays true to the North Tryon vision. It’s not gigantic, the massing aligns perfectly with the Skyhouse buildings, the architecture is unique and colorful — and most of all, it’s interesting.

Ten Tryon to add ‘non-corporate’ office space, full-service grocer to uptown

 

A project set to break ground next year could help catalyze momentum in northern uptown, which has lagged in development as the rest of center city booms.

A mixed-use development called 10 Tryon, led by David Furman of Centro Cityworks and Charles Campbell of Flagship Capital Partners, is planned for 631 N. Tryon St., between Ninth and 10th streets — a 1.4-acre site adjacent to SkyHouse Uptown. Centro and Flagship are under contract to purchase the property.
