This Cen­tro City­Works’ project is the sec­ond phase of The Square at Southend devel­op­ment led by Bea­con Partner’s in the heart of South End. Wrap­ping the park­ing garage that will also serve the office build­ing, this is the sec­ond  micro-apart­ment project Axiom and Cen­tro City­Works have cre­at­ed togeth­er.  Much like the Rai­l­yard project, The Square Apart­ments project was designed with the idea in mind that the neigh­bor­hood is the ameni­ty.  Res­i­dents will enjoy a com­mu­nal fit­ness cen­ter, street lev­el incu­ba­tor retail spaces, sky­line views of Uptown Char­lotte, and a direct con­nec­tion to the future Wilmore Cen­ten­ni­al Park.

This build­ing will be Type IIIA and Type IA con­struc­tion, with five floors of wood framed res­i­den­tial units over a con­crete podi­um.  The com­mu­ni­ty is expect­ed to open to res­i­dents about 18 months after con­struc­tion begins.
