Fountains Southend

Charlotte, NC

Fountains Southend is a 208-unit urban apartment project on a former Brownfield site in Charlotte’s South End neighborhood. The site is conveniently located near major thoroughfares and immediately adjacent to the CATS Light Rail line and multi-modal recreation trail. Due to the proximity and ease of access to Uptown Charlotte and the burgeoning South End, this community is designed for the emerging professional who lives a diverse, active and urban lifestyle. The building’s façade and modern interiors reflect the transition of the area from an industrial past to an eclectic neighborhood. Its impressive amenities, including an outdoor movie screen, rooftop terrace and cross fit room, create an engaged community-oriented place. Residents will also enjoy a luxurious lobby in which to await the arrival of trains at the nearby light rail station. The project consists of two four-story wood framed buildings, each with concrete structured parking incorporated to take advantage of the site grade change. Each building typifies Axiom Architecture’s pursuit of sustainable design through multiple green building practices such as energy efficient appliances and fixtures and the restoration of a Brownfield site. Both buildings have achieved NGBS (National Green Building Standard) Bronze level certification in recognition of this effort.
